THINGS TO DO IN SITKA ALASKA

Sitka was a beautiful, scenic, peaceful little town with white-capped mountains and a magnificent volcano with low hanging clouds. We visited The Fortress of the Bears, a home for orphaned bear cubs. It was amazing how the bears were trained to come when called and sit up and put their paws together for food.

At the Fortress of the Bears, they also have a small petting zoo with some wild looking little critters.

We also toured The Alaska Raptor Center, a hospital for injured eagles and birds. Both places we visited did amazing work with the animals and were very impressive! The guys even played golf a couple of times while in civilization!
