EXPLORING MENDENHALL GLACIER, JUNEAU

We spent several days in Juneau, the SE largest city and capital of Alaska. We rented a car and visited a beautiful glacier and waterfall that you could view from land, Mendenhall Glacier. We hiked up to the waterfall and took photos, but realized how spoiled we were to the remote areas we had experienced. People were everywhere, it was not the same dodging and weaving to get people out of our photos, but so worth the visit.

We visited the downtown area of cute shops and pubs, defiantly were the cruise ships come into. We had dinner at The Hangar Warf, which has a great view of the ocean and good food. After dinner, we stopped in Red Dog Saloon for a beer and they had good live music.
